Replacing simple carbohydrates with complex carbohydrates is a simple way to make your diet healthier. Use brown rice instead of white rice, whole wheat bread and pasta and whole grain cereals. Canned, frozen and otherwise processed fruits and vegetables have a lower vitamin content than their fresh counterparts. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains will keep you feeling satisfied, healthy and happy and will reduce your weight and prevent illness.
